Science in the news – Britain's ash trees

The Talking points feature from p.25 of The Week magazine (PDF) and accompanying resource (Word doc). A quick comprehension activity that would make a great starter. A research task where students explore various aspects of the ash dieback story. There is also a fun interactive game that introduces students to the weird and wonderful names of some of the species found in the British countryside.
