Crime scene investigation
This KS3 resource involves carrying out a series of practical activities to solve a crime.
The mini investigations include testing soil pH, flame tests, chromatography and looking at fingerprints.
Students can work in small groups to produce a report of their findings. This resource can be used over a few lessons or shared between groups. It would also make a good science club activity.
There are student sheets for students to record their findings on and a PowerPoint that can be printed out to use as instruction sheets.
Great for a first lesson, science club activities or to introduce practical work.
