Planning an investigation

An adaptable resource for any lesson based on planning an investigation. It is suitable for any key stage or topic area in science and could be used as a starter activity.

The first slide links to nine incomplete statements about investigations e.g. 'The independent variable is ...', 'A hazard in this investigation is ...'. 

Students pick a number and respond to the statement that is displayed.

It could be adapted to be made more specific to a particular investigation.
