Using a microscope

This resource is perfect to give structure to a lesson using a microscope with Y7. There is a starter activity of anagrams of the main parts of a microscope. The next activity shows a microscope, just click to add labels. It would be ideal to have microscopes out so that students can identify the parts as the labels are revealed.

The next slides introduce students to using the microscope and finding the magnification of drawings that they make. In addition to the resource, students will need microscopes, prepared slides, transparent rulers.
