Group 1 – the alkali metals
A set of three worksheets which introduce Group 1 alkali metals to KS3 students studying the Periodic Table.
The first and second activities are perfect to use as you introduce the alkali metals as part of a demonstration of their reactivity with water. They help students record their observations and to predict how metals further down the group might react in water.
In the third activity, students are given a table of information about the alkali metals and asked to describe the trends and make predictions about missing values.
