Water particles

This resource is designed as an end of unit assessment for the Particles unit. It could also be used at the start of the unit as an indication of prior knowledge and misconceptions.

Using diagrams as a prompt, students are asked to describe and explain what is happening to the particles in ice as it is gently heated.

It could be used as an individual or paired activity. Encourage students to review each other's responses using the assessment criteria.
