Energy in food
This resource gives structure and differentiation to an investigation into how much energy there is in different foods. It links human biology with the unit energy costs in KS3 physics.
There is a slide to describe the experiment and one to collate class results. There is a final extension question to relate energy intake with energy needs of an athlete. Students are encouraged to assess their own progress at the end of the activity.
