Forces and motion

A resource to introduce forces at KS3 as it uses engaging images to prompt students to identify the forces that are acting, such as friction, gravity and air resistance. The last slides ask students to consider balanced and unbalanced forces. 

Choose two or three slides as a starter and use them to prompt discussion. Students could discuss each slide in pairs and then explain their answer to the rest of the class or invite them to add arrows and notes onto the whiteboard.

As well as introducing forces it would be a useful activity to check students prior understanding and misconceptions.
