Energy in, energy out

A worksheet to explore the energy balance between food intake and activity. Great as a quick starter to promote discussion.

Generally a good resource, but I wrote on top to include what I have called "chemical reactions to keep the body warm". It's important that we don't give the idea that all the energy we burn is used on exercise, the vast amount of energy used up is on our basal metabolic rate. I also wrote that these "chemical reactions to keep warm" occurred throughout the entire morning.

For me, this topic comes after a topic on interdependence, in which we do a lesson on endothermy.
