Energy and the environment – starters
This KS3 resource contains four starter activities that can be used when teaching about energy resources. In the first activity ask students to match the labels to the diagram of a power station.
The second activity asks students to think about energy transfers and stores that occur in the power station.
The third activity students are asked to consider different ways of generating electricity e.g. wind, tidal and geothermal.
The final activity introduces students to the idea that all forms of energy generation have advantages and disadvantages.
