A set of four tasks that focus on fertilisers as a source of water pollution. The first task is a quick starter for students to discuss what fertilisers are and why they are used. Suitable to use for AQA Biology and combined science, waste management section (4.7.3.2).

In the second task, students deduce the sequence of consequences of excess fertilisers can have on the plants and animals in the water. Finally, students record the sequence as a flow chart and use it to help them to answer an extended answer question.
