Test yourself on rock types

This resource is ideal as a revision activity for the KS3 Earth structure unit. There are two tasks the first is to complete the table of rock types, examples and their characteristics.

In the second students complete the sentences using keywords. It is suitable for students who need more support and structure to tasks and there are two versions of the worksheet. It covers the three main rock types and how they are formed - igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic. It would be suitable as a starter, plenary or revision activity.
