The colour of fireworks

An investigation for KS3 that would make an engaging activity for a science club or science day. It would also be great for use on 5 November as a topical Bonfire Night resource.

Students carry out flame tests on metal salts to see how we get different coloured fireworks.

The resource has been updated and just includes flame tests as the practical element.
