What does each cell do?

Match the type of cell with its role and particular adaptation. There is also a lovely interactive version to check students' understanding.

Many thanks for your comment. The functions given in the resource are brief and not exhaustive, which does provide a good opportunity to get students to suggest others and add them to their table.

Useful to add to the adaptations column as they are a little basic (xylem transport of water), also role (root hair water and minerals)- Good review set or as a class led exercise to support microscope work as allows introduction of TS and LS prepared slides.
