Science in the news – helium shortage

The Health & Science feature from p.20 of The Week magazine (PDF) and accompanying resource (Word doc) using the news item to engage students in a discussion about the shortage of helium and whether it should be used for party balloons or MRI scanners. There is also an interactive matching activity which gets students thinking about different gases and their uses.
