Skeletons

This resource is the perfect introduction to the skeletal system. It is suitable to use with KS3 classes and the AQA KS3 science syllabus. There is a range of tasks and activities to choose from. Students label the skeleton and think about the purpose of it and different bones.

There is a suggested practical activity investigating what will happen to the properties of bone if calcium and protein are removed from it.

Students are then introduced to different types of joints in the skeleton. The final task is a cloze activity for students to complete which summarises the content covered.
